Reviews Of Local Coasters: Hits and Misses

Local theme parks to Washington, D.C., in order of distance:

Six Flags America
I once thought I'd miss Adventure World. Four killer coasters later...

King's Dominion
I've been here more times than any other park, and I still enjoy it every time.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg
The Alpengeist is the best inverted ride I've found.

Serving up a unique blend of coasters and chocoloate.

Six Flags Great Adventure
This one is close to New York, so it's frequently mobbed.

Cedar Point
I never thought I'd have a reason to drive to Ohio. :-)

As always, it is well worth it to keep an eye out for specials and coupons. Calling ahead and asking what deals are available will usually serve to point you to a fast food chain or grocery store with stacks of coupons for discounted admission, taking off around $8.00 or so. They also frequently have soda pop promotions where a can of soda (empty or not) will get you in the park, often in the evening hours, for a discount.

More to come!
